Windows Vista prevents non operating system applications which are located in the startup menu that require administrative privileges from starting up when you log in. Instead, it makes you run them manually by way of a confirmation dialog. This means that every time you log into Windows Vista, you will need to perform the following operation in order to have Argus run: You will see a small icon at the bottom right of your screen when you log in. Refer to the picture below (the icon is circled in red): ![]() Right click on this icon and left click or hover your mouse cursor on "Run blocked program". A side menu should expand. In this list should be an application called "Watchdog". In order for the Argus software to launch, you need to left click on the application name. Argus will then start up momentarily. ![]() If you experience any problems running the Argus software on Windows Vista, please email Argus at service@arguscontrols.com, or call toll free at 1-888-667-2091 |
