Argus Operator ProgramThe Argus Operator program is your gateway to the Argus control system. It is the primary way to access the settings and readings within the controllers. (Other methods include in-zone local access to settings and readings from optional display units mounted on the I/O modules). The Argus Operator program provides full featured access to the system, from either a locally connected PC or a PC in a remote location via telephone modem dialup, or the Internet. The operator program arrives fully configured to match the control system setup. Everything is displayed in the context of your operation, and for easy reference, each item uses the actual names of your controlled zones and equipment. In addition, you have complete control of the user interface to construct your own access screens and place 'live' shortcuts to any system parameters you select. There are also a number of add-on options to enhance the user interface including: PC Data Streaming (Argus Classic Systems)Now you can record control system data points at user-set sampling intervals. This stream of real-time data can be graphed and analyzed from within Argus for Windows, or it can be exported to external, third-party applications such as Microsoft Access® or Excel® for further analysis. This handy new feature further enhances our already powerful controller-based data recording utility that calculates 15-minute averaged values for any readings, settings and control variables. With this new real-time data-sampling feature, you can record point samples as frequently as once per second**. This new data-streaming tool will be of particular interest to researchers who often need to record high frequency variable data during experiments, and for anyone who requires a way of tracking fast-changing events, troubleshooting equipment behavior, or sophisticated trend analysis.
Argus Graph
The Argus Operator program features extensive graphing capabilities for better data visualization. Each graph is now resizable and can contain up to 64 channels of recorded information. In addition, you can interactively zoom in and out of a selection range, change the time and date intervals, and change scales. The standard daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reporting periods have been retained, and custom date ranges can also be selected. Graphs can be created ad-hoc, or saved for future viewing. In addition, you can interactively toggle the display of individual data channels on and off from within the graph for better viewing. Tabular data display is also supported, as is copy and paste of selected data to other applications. Multi-Change User Windows
This great new User Window option allows you to create groups of similar parameters that can be changed to a common setting value with a single entry. This feature is handy for customers who regularly need to make identical changes to several settings on their systems. Enhanced Password Control
We’ve added a new password controlled option that lets you prevent user access to designated areas on your control system. When enabled, unauthorized users are denied view access to these protected areas. What’s more, User Shortcut references to protected parameters will also be hidden from unauthorized users. Multi-Line Notes
You can create multi-line messages or “sticky notes” as on-screen annotations. You can choose to display your notes in full, or as single line labels. To prevent your notes from accidentally hiding important system data, they can only be placed on empty areas of your screens. You can place them in any window, anywhere they will fit. HyperlinksThe hyperlink option lets you easily create links to supporting documents, spreadsheets, and other applications from within the Argus Operator program. Use them for creating and launching your own supporting documents and applications from within the Argus for Windows program.
