Please be advised that Team Viewer discontinued support for all legacy versions prior to September 15, 2021. To check and see if your version of Team Viewer is up to date:
- Navigate to the following folder directory “C:\Argus\Support Files\Remote Support”
- Determine the date of the ArgusControlsQuickSupport.exe file
- If the date is prior to September 15, 2021, an update is required
- If the date is after September 15, 2021, no update is required
There are a few options for performing the update.
Option 1
Install TeamViewer as a standalone application.
- Navigate to https://www.teamviewer.com/en-us/
- Download the latest copy of the installer
- Run the installer as an administrator
Ensure that all instances of TeamViewer are closed prior to installation otherwise the installer may not work.
Option 2
Download and update TeamViewer using the patch files provided by Argus.
- Download “QuickSupport.zip”
- Extract the file
- Run the “InstallFiles to C Drive.bat”
- If the batch file does not work, manually copy and paste the “ArgusControlsQuickSupport.exe file into the folder directory “C:\Argus\Support Files\Remote Support”.
Ensure that legacy versions of TeamViewer are first closed before relaunching with the new version.
